The overall length of this Concert Ukulele is 24 inches. We chose a beautiful wood to build the body of your Ukulele - Zebrawood! The Zebrawood is considered to be a very unique tonewood. The Fingerboard is made of Walnut as well & the neck of the ukulele is made of Nato. Walnut is a popular wood used in many musical instruments, including guitars. Aquila Strings. We installed Premium Italian Aquila Strings to make sure this ukulele produces the best sound it can. Aquila Strings are very popular and any experienced player would recommend them. Bone Nut - The Nut in this ukulele is made out of Ox bone. In most ukuleles out there, the nut is made out of plastic. The nut directly influences the tone and sound of the ukulele as it is in direct contact with the strings! Compensated Bone Saddle - The saddle in this ukulele is Compensated(!) and is made out of Ox bone. In most ukuleles out there, the saddle is made out of plastic. The Saddle directly influences the tone and sound of the ukulele as it is in direct contact with the strings! The Bridge of the ukulele is made out of Walnut! A tip for tuning your new Ukulele: Are you finding yourself. This is really common, particularly with new strings. Nylon strings take a certain amount of stretching before they settle down and hold their tune. Tune it to the desired note, then pull up on the string over the soundhole to give it a bit of a stretch. That'll take it down about 2 whole notes, tune it back up and repeat until it stays in tune. A lot of folks who maybe aren't used to stringed instruments, especially nylon strings, get frustrated, but don't worry, these are decent strings, they just need a good stretch!
